Acceptable Use Policy
Prohibited image content, reporting and enforcement for ImageLingua.
Last updated: 2026-10-07
Scope
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to images you upload to ImageLingua and translated or edited images produced by the service. Use the service only for lawful purposes and with the rights needed to process the image.
ImageLingua translates visible text in an existing image. It uses OpenRouter with the fixed model openai/gpt-image-2.5-sunburst. It has no user-entered free-text image-generation prompt and no public gallery. These limits do not permit prohibited material to be uploaded or translated.
Prohibited content and uses
1. Pornography / NSFW
Do not upload or use the service to produce pornographic, sexually explicit or otherwise sexually exploitative NSFW images, including non-consensual intimate imagery.
2. Violence / gore
Do not upload or produce graphic violence, gore or depictions of extreme injury, or content that glorifies or incites violence or facilitates harm against others.
3. Hate speech
Do not upload or produce content that promotes hatred, dehumanization, discrimination or violence against people based on protected characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability.
4. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
Any sexual or exploitative depiction of a minor is prohibited, including fictional, synthetic or AI-edited depictions and content that facilitates child sexual abuse. Never upload such material to this service or attach it to a report.
5. Deepfakes / real-person impersonation
Do not use uploaded or edited images to impersonate a real person deceptively or without authorization, create non-consensual deepfakes, or mislead others about a person's identity, actions or endorsement.
6. Copyright / trademark infringement
Do not upload or translate material without the necessary rights, or use results to infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights. Do not use edited branding, logos or packaging to enable counterfeiting or falsely suggest authorization or endorsement. Translation does not grant rights to someone else's material.
Other misuse
Do not use the service for fraud, harassment, invasion of privacy or other unlawful conduct. Do not bypass account restrictions, payment checks, request limits or provider safety restrictions, or interfere with the service or another user's data.
Safety restrictions and review
Requests are subject to the model provider's safety restrictions. A rejected request does not return a translated image. A provider rejection can also result from a technical or configuration issue; it is not by itself a determination that a user violated this policy.
ImageLingua does not run a separate automatic scan of every uploaded image and result, or manually review every image before processing. Provider restrictions do not guarantee detection of all prohibited material. Reports sent to support are checked manually, using the information available and, where appropriate and lawful, relevant task records. We may ask for clarification before deciding what action is warranted. We do not promise continuous human review or a fixed response time.
Report a concern
Email support@imagelingua.com to report prohibited content, misuse or a rights violation. Provide a non-sensitive description, a task identifier if available, the reason for the concern and any supporting basis for a rights claim. We use this information to assess the report and may request further non-sensitive information.
Do not email or re-upload CSAM, other illegal imagery, passwords, full card numbers or payment credentials. Describe the concern and identify the task without forwarding the material. Do not access another user's private content to gather evidence. For an immediate threat to someone's safety, contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service.
Enforcement and appeals
Depending on the verified circumstances, we may refuse a request, remove affected private content, restrict access, or suspend or terminate an account under the Terms of Service. Where required by law, we may report relevant information to the competent authorities. These are measures considered case by case, not a claim that automatic banning or automatic reporting is in place.
Refunds and remaining paid uses are handled under the refunds and cancellation terms and applicable law; a report or account restriction does not automatically forfeit all paid uses.
If you believe a decision was mistaken, email support@imagelingua.com with the account email, relevant task or order identifier, and an explanation for review. Do not resend prohibited content as part of an appeal.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest update.
