Privacy Policy
How ImageLingua handles Google account information and private image-translation data.
Last updated: 2026-10-07
Overview
This policy describes the information ImageLingua handles when you sign in and translate text in an uploaded image.
Google sign-in and account information
ImageLingua uses Google OAuth for sign-in. We use the name, email address, profile image, and session information needed to identify your account and keep you signed in. We do not offer a password or email sign-in flow.
Image translation data and retention
When you create a translation, we handle the uploaded image and the target language you choose. Translation records also contain the ownership, timestamps, task status, and technical metadata needed to provide the feature.
The original image and, when a translation succeeds, the resulting image are available for seven days from task creation. After that period, the service refuses access. In the hosted service, storage lifecycle rules delete images and their private task-history records after seven days in storage; physical removal is asynchronous. Local development files do not have automatic deletion. The database retains one bounded account record for your lifetime trial use, current task snapshot and daily request counter. Deleting images does not reset the trial. We do not run an OCR pipeline or persist extracted text, a provider's complete response payload, or a complete usage response.
OpenRouter processing
To perform a translation, ImageLingua sends the uploaded image and selected target language to OpenRouter for the fixed openai/gpt-image-2.5-sunburst provider/model. OpenRouter and its upstream providers may handle data under their own practices; our local deletion and seven-day expiry do not establish their retention or deletion practices. See the OpenRouter Privacy Policy.
Private access and deletion
Images are stored per user and are not published at public URLs. Access to an image translation requires the signed-in account that created it.
In Settings → My images, you can delete one of your tasks when it is not processing. Deleting a task hides it from your history immediately and attempts to delete its stored images. If storage deletion fails, the service reports that you can retry. This action does not make a claim about deletion by OpenRouter or other upstream providers.
Usage analytics
When usage analytics is enabled, we use TK to understand visits and whether product actions succeed. First-party browser storage holds a random browser identifier and a separate session identifier; a session renews after 30 minutes without activity. If browser storage is unavailable, measurement is limited to the current page session.
Analytics includes page categories, language, limited referral and campaign labels, approximate location supplied by our hosting service, login actions, translation outcomes, and package-detail views. It does not include your Google name or email, uploaded image contents, image text, private image URLs, or payment details. We do not link the browser identifier to your Google account. You can remove stored browser identifiers through your browser's site-data controls.
Security and limits
We use private storage and account checks to limit access to image translations. No online system can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.
Support, reports and privacy requests
For support, refund requests, content reports, appeals or privacy questions, email support@imagelingua.com. We handle the contact address, message, task or order references and other information you choose to provide to investigate and respond to the request, resolve billing issues, or assess misuse. Where appropriate and lawful, this may involve checking relevant account, payment or task records. Support correspondence is separate from the seven-day image retention period and is retained as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
Provide only information needed for the request. Do not send passwords, full card numbers, payment credentials, CSAM or other illegal images. For a content report, provide a non-sensitive description and task identifier instead of forwarding the material. See the Acceptable Use Policy for reporting and review details. We may disclose relevant information where required by law. Contact the same address with a question about access to or deletion of your information; any request is subject to identity verification and applicable legal requirements.
Changes to this policy
